Today I hope Freya's milk starts flowing because now I don't want the puppies to lose any more of their birth weight. Even though several of the puppies have lost about 50g of their birth weight, they are all full of energy and good at finding their mother's teats. They lie there pretty much the whole time, suck for a while and sleep for a while.
Freya is a relaxed and calm mother. She goes out for a walk with no problem but is in a hurry when we turn home. Of course, there will only be very short walks in our yard. She takes exemplary good care of her puppies, licks them and givs them the care they should have.
She has eaten well, minced meat, carrot puree and recovery preserves, which should lead to milk production starting soon.

Idag hoppas jag att Freyas mjölk rinner till för nu vill jag inte att valparna tappar mer av sin födelsevikt. Trots att flera av valparna har tappat ca 50g av sin födelsevikt är allar fulla av energi och duktiga på att hitta till mammas spenar. Där ligger de i stort sett hela tiden, suger en stund och sover en stund.
Freya är en avslappnad och obekymrad mamma. Hon följer utan problem med ut för att bli rastad men får bråttom när vi vänder hemåt. Givetvis blir det bara mycket korta promenader på vår gårdsplan. Hon sköter sina valpar exemplariskt, slickar dem och ger den omvårdnad som de ska ha.
Hon har ätit bra, köttfärs, morotspure och recoverykonserver, vilket borde leda till att mjölkproduktionen snart kommer igång.
